Project Status & Technical Approach

XRPL natively supports secp256k1 and Ed25519 key pairs. While native protocol-level passkey/WebAuthn verification (secp256r1) is not yet built-in, the ecosystem bridges this through external auth layers: Web3Auth MPC integration, Anodos Wallet (the first passkey-secured XRPL wallet), and dApp-level wrappers. XRP PK Labs builds on these foundations with a fully open scaffold.

  • Approach: WebAuthn credential creation → Web3Auth MPC key derivation → XRPL account signing
  • Reference impl: Anodos / Palisade passkey wallet + scaffold-xrp boilerplate
  • Status: Development / scaffold phase
